Solar Schools Program
SolarVillage Social Services Project Foundation (SVSSPF) installs right‑sized solar + battery systems that keep classrooms lit, fans running, and digital learning tools available through frequent grid outages. We prioritize rural, underserved government and low‑fee private schools—especially those serving Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes—where unreliable electricity directly limits teaching time and student outcomes.
What we deliver

1–5 kW rooftop solar with hybrid inverters and battery backup sized to critical classroom, office, and lab loads.

Quarterly preventive checks, rapid response service calls, remote performance logging, and spare‑parts management.

Age‑appropriate sessions that teach students the basics of renewable energy, efficiency, and safe use.

Completion certificates, photo/GIS documentation, asset registers, and utilization certificates for CSR sponsors.

Baseline → midline → endline. Typical projects include ~240 structured surveys across students/parents and teachers/administrators, plus continuous performance logs. Findings are reported back to sponsors and school leadership.

- Rural or peri‑urban schools with long or frequent outages.
- Socioeconomically disadvantaged catchment areas (average household income < ₹400/day typical).
- Clear site ownership/permissions and engagement from school leadership.

- More instructional hours and safer environments in heat waves and after dark.
- Functioning computers, projectors, and labs improve teaching quality.
- Reduced diesel and kerosene use; quantified carbon mitigation reported per site.
