Solar Street Lights Program

Solar street lights offer significant lifesaving support and protect the rural communities from high-risk accidental circumstances for rural areas in India as a source of visibility at night hours by providing cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and reliable lighting solutions. These lights enhance safety, promote economic activities, and reduce reliance on the electricity grid, improving the overall quality of life for rural communities. Solar Street Lights Program plays key role for

  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Enhanced Safety and Security, especially during the Dark
  • Cost-Effectiveness and Low Maintenance
  • Social and Economic Development of remote Villages
  • Alternative source of Visibility at Night where-ever Grid Power is not available
  • Improved Quality of Life

Women Empowerment Program – Solar Technicians

Women drive community resilience but remain scarce in India’s clean-energy workforce. Our program recruits local women, equips them with hands-on solar skills, and connects them to paid work maintaining SVSSPF’s school, clinic, and street-light systems.

  • Two-week, district-based course covering safety, wiring, batteries, fault diagnosis, and customer care—taught by SVSSPF engineers and partner institutes.
  • Pathways to income through paid service calls, seasonal maintenance drives, and installation support, with guidance on micro-enterprise opportunities.
  • Safe, inclusive learning with clear codes of conduct, PPE, and ongoing mentorship to keep graduates active and advancing.
  • Impact we measure: women trained and deployed, system-uptime gains, household-income shifts, and confidence indicators shared with sponsors.
  • We’re expanding the next cohort soon. Join us to power new careers and stronger communities.
