Who We Are

SVSSPF delivers clean, reliable solar energy to underserved schools, clinics, and communities across India. We believe energy access is foundational to health, education, and opportunity.
What sets us apart is our commitment to measurable impact. Every installation is tracked through field surveys and third-party evaluations—ensuring that each watt of solar power translates into real, lasting change along with real time LIVE Power GENERATION trends through Data Loggers.
Where We Work

Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state—home to over 97,000 villages—faces persistent rural energy gaps. Despite major electrification drives, many communities still experience frequent outages, voltage instability, and prolonged blackouts. SVSSPF focuses on high-need districts including Bahraich, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, and Ayodhya.
We prioritize:
- Solar Street Lighting: Illuminate village paths, school routes, market lanes, and health-center approaches to improve safety and mobility after dark.
- Solar Schools: Rooftop solar (with storage where needed) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and support basic digital learning.
- Solar Health Centers: Reliable power for lighting, essential equipment, and communications to strengthen routine care and emergency response.
- O&M and Monitoring & Evaluation: Planned maintenance and rigorous outcome tracking so systems remain dependable and impact is measurable.
Our goal is dependable energy access that directly improves education, healthcare, and public safety across rural Uttar Pradesh.

Maharashtra has been a key focus for our India operations. From tribal hamlets in Raigad to remote schools around Karjat—and across the rural blocks of Pune district (Purandar, Baramati, Maval, and Haveli)—SVSSPF targets communities left behind by weak or absent grid infrastructure.
- Solar Schools: We’ve completed 40+ off-grid installations statewide, delivering consistent, clean power to classrooms where outages were once routine.
- Solar Street Lighting: Lighting village paths, school approaches, and market lanes to improve safety and mobility after dark.
- O&M and Monitoring & Evaluation: Planned maintenance and simple outcome monitoring keep systems dependable and benefits measurable.
Maharashtra has been a proving ground for our approach—community-led, data-driven, and built for long-term impact.

Bihar is where our India journey began. Over a decade ago we started by distributing durable solar study lights in villages without electricity—bringing safe, clean lighting to thousands and laying the groundwork for today’s programs.
We now focus on:
- Solar Schools: Rooftop solar (with storage where needed) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and support basic digital learning.
- Solar Street Lighting: Illuminate village lanes, school routes, market areas, and community hubs to improve safety and mobility after dark.
- Community Sites: Small off-grid systems for halls, libraries, and training centers to support evening activities and services.
- O&M and Impact Tracking: Planned maintenance and simple outcome monitoring so systems stay reliable and benefits are measurable.
Our long-standing presence and local partnerships make Bihar a continuing priority in our drive for energy equity.

UK state profile to: Access to reliable power in the hill districts is far more challenging than in the plains. Steep terrain and dispersed settlements make grid extension and maintenance difficult. With CSR partners, SVSSPF is prioritizing three interventions:
- Solar Street Lighting: Install lights in remote hamlets and along steep roads and footpaths to improve visibility, reduce accidents, and enhance safety after dark.
- Rural Primary Schools: Provide rooftop solar (with storage where needed) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and to power basic devices for uninterrupted learning.
- Health Facilities: Deploy solar plants to support emergency care, essential equipment, and reliable communications during outages.
We’re committed to scaling these solutions across high-need blocks in the coming years.

A large share of Rajasthan’s population lives in rural, dispersed settlements where grid reliability is inconsistent—especially in heat-stressed and hard-to-reach blocks. Through community outreach and formal needs assessments, SVSSPF identifies specific gaps and aligns fundraising to address on-the-ground priorities. With CSR partners, we focus on:
- Solar Street Lighting: Illuminate village paths, market lanes, and school routes to improve safety and mobility after dark.
- Solar Schools: Provide rooftop solar (with storage where required) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and support basic digital learning.
- Solar Health Facilities: Power essential equipment, lighting, and communications to strengthen routine care and emergency response.
- O&M and Impact Tracking: Commit to maintenance and simple outcome tracking so systems stay reliable and benefits are measurable.
We’re working with local institutions and CSR sponsors to scale these solutions across high-need rural blocks in Rajasthan.

Tamil Nadu : spans dense urban centers and remote rural blocks with differing power reliability. With Chennai as our coordination hub, SVSSPF partners with regional CSR sponsors and local institutions to target high-need rural communities through structured needs assessments. We focus on:
- Solar Schools: Rooftop solar (with storage where required) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and support basic digital learning.
- Solar Health Centers: Reliable power for essential equipment, lighting, and communications to strengthen routine care and emergency response.
- O&M and Impact Tracking: Planned maintenance and simple outcome tracking to keep systems dependable and benefits measurable.
Our goal is resilient, fit-for-purpose solar infrastructure that aligns with on-the-ground realities across Tamil Nadu.
Kerala’s ~590 km Arabian Sea coastline and steep Western Ghats make it highly exposed to heavy monsoon rains, flooding, and landslides. Recent events—from the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the 2018 floods to the 2019 Puthumala, 2020 Pettimudi, and 2024 Wayanad landslides—underscore the need for resilient community infrastructure.
With CSR partners, SVSSPF focuses on:
- Solar Schools: Rooftop solar (with storage where needed) to keep classrooms lit and ventilated and to serve as community relief points during outages.
- Solar Health Centers: Reliable power for lighting, communications, and essential equipment—including vaccine cold chain where appropriate—to strengthen routine and emergency care.
- Resilience & O&M: Flood-aware system design (elevated mounting and protected wiring), planned maintenance, and simple outcome tracking so systems remain dependable and benefits measurable.
We support rehabilitation and long-term resilience across Kerala’s coastal and hill districts through fit-for-purpose solar solutions.

Our Testimonials
“ I visited District Sitapur & Lakhimpur villages where SVSSPF had installed solar streetlights and solar home systems. Villagers were enthusiastic about solar. I was impressed by the variety of ways people use the streetlights. Not only do the lights make foot and vehicle transportation easier and safer, but they enable many after dark activities. Farm chores like mixing animal feed and threshing grain, as well as household tasks like cooking, and children reading and playing under the SVSSPF Solar Street lights. People also did not mind their neighbours coming over to work under them. “

“During three weeks visit to INDIA in April’ 2025, I carried out more than 350+ interviews with doctors, nurses, teachers and students in some of the most marginalised villages of Uttar Pradesh. Everywhere a Solar Village Project solar-battery system was already installed, the difference was immediate—fans kept turning, vaccines stayed cold and lessons continued without interruption. Patients, staff and students all wondered why every clinic and school couldn’t have power like this.”

“Uninterrupted Solar Power of 5Kwp at Shivpur Community Health Centre (CHC) in 2021 now helps Doctor & Medical staff for treating patients for OPD, Patients in Ward, Medical tests regularly. Solar has also helped in electrifying the newly made women’s ward. Earlier it was a major challenge due to long power cuts of up to 8-12 hours daily. Thanks to Solar Village Project for installing 5Kwp of Solar Power Project at Shivpur Community Health Centre (CHC).”

“ Before solar power came, we would keep sitting in dark classroom during power cuts. It was hard to read on the blackboard. Thankfully, Now with uniteruptted Solar Power lights always on, studying in classroom has become much easier and we are able to read blackboard and books comfortably. “

“Earlier, classes had to stop whenever the power went out. The smart TV used to become just a box on the wall. But after the solar system was installed by Solar Village Project, now we are able to run digital classes without interruption. Even the light and running fans is a huge relief for students, especially in the summer.”

“In winters, many girls used to leave school early due to dark classrooms, Parents were also concerned about safety. Now with solar Power plant installed at our school by Solar Village Project, classrooms lighting are bright and safe also till late noon. Now the attendance among girls has gone up noticeably."

“ We had a smart TV donated by another NGO, but we rarely used it due to power cuts. Since the solar panels were installed, now we use it daily to show science animations and lessons. Students are more curious and involved in the topic. Teaching students on TV is helping them in better understanding through real time visual images and videos of the topics “

Memorial Public School, Lucknow.
“ Before the solar light was installed near my house, I had to finish all my outdoor household work before dark. Now, I can wash utensils, clean the courtyard, feed the cattle, and even sort grains in the evening without rushing. The light is bright enough for me to see clearly, and my daughter-in-law can fetch water from the handpump safely at night. It feels like we have gained extra hours in the day”.

“ We had been struggling for street lights for years as the electricity supply here is highly unreliable and normal lights generally never light up . These solar street lights installed by Solar Village Project company are a blessing for the Villagers specially in the night. They work every night, even during power cuts. The village square is now safe & lively in the evenings; Children can also play safely now in the dark.”

“ Earlier, the entire main road to our village stretch was pitch dark after sunset. Women and school children were hesitant to walk back home in the evening as it was unsafe due to animals and mud roads. Since the solar Street lights have come, the whole path is lit and safe now for all the villagers after sunset. Now Villagers can go to the market or attend functions without fear and return back late also. "

“In the past, if the power used to went out in the middle of a test , we had to restart & re do everything again . Now with the solar power backup at our PHC , we run all medical equipment’s uninterrupted. Whether it’s blood tests, malaria kits, Nebulizer or even operating the centrifuge, everything is smoother and faster.”

“Earlier, sometimes for treating the patients late evening the Doctors had to say, ‘let’s wait for light’ after sunsets. I was bitten by a snake in the field around 7 PM. It was getting dark when we reached the clinic, thankfully this time the health center was ready, lights were on, emergency medicines were available, and the doctor could treat me immediately. Solar power saved me. ”

“ Solar Village Project(CSR Company) installed 5Kw of Solar Power system at our PHC- Mehsi in 2022 , SVP doesn’t just install the system and leave - Their team does regular plant checks and ensures that it’s working well. Once the inverter had a problem, and it was fixed within 3 days of reporting. In fact, recently due to power backup concerns at our health center-they have changed the entire batteries bank pack with new set for uninterrupted power supply at our PHC .This kind of maintenance support also is rare."
